Biographical Text

Previously with Blackpool and Manchester City, although he never played in the Football league, Evans moved to Exeter City in the summer of 1913.
He made his first team debut for the Grecians on the opening day of the season when Exeter lost 2-0 at Southampton in the Southern League.
Evans only featured six times in the City first team, but the following season became more of a regular playing most of the second half on the campaign and scoring what was to be his only goal for the club in a 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace. Sadly Evans was killed in action during the First World War.
