A friendly match was played on this date at St James's Park between the City and the 111th Battery. The Battery brought a very weak team, although Massey was playing, and the City had almost a "walk-over," leading by six to nil at the interval, and eight to nil at the finish.

Exeter City: Peters; Fenwick, Horner; Warner, Davidson, Wain; Sellick, Thomas, Reid, Andrews, and Russell.

The scorers for the City were Andrews 2, Thomas 2, Reid 3, and Davidson, with a penalty.

Saturday, March 11th.

Exeter City beat Friernhay by six goals to two in a "friendly" at St James's Park this afternoon. Andrews, Davidson (2), Sellick, Thomas, and Russell scored for the City, who led by five goals to nil at the interval. In the second half Paddon and Budden scored for the Friars.
