Chris McPhee

Born Eastbourne 20 March 1983.

On 13 September 2022 Chris came on as a second-half substitute for Exeter City in the Devon Bowl at Plymouth Parkway.

Chris McPhee was a trainee at Brighton and Hove Albion from 1999 and a professional between 2001 and 2006. He made his debut at Swansea City aged sixteen in 1999. Chris eventually played around sixty times for Brighton and had loan spells at Aldershot and Swindon. 

Chris came to Devon in June 2006 to sign for Torquay United. In one season at Plainmoor, when the club was relegated from the Football League, he was to make 43 league and cup appearances.

Chris moved to Ebbsfleet in June 2007 although he was soon to return to live in South Devon. In his one season in Kent Chris scored the only goal at Wembley when Ebbsfleet defeated Torquay to win the FA Trophy. Whilst at Ebbsfleet, Chris played for England C.

Chris
joined Weymouth in July 2008 and was at Kidderminster Harriers from February 2009 to the end of 2010/11. He returned to Torquay United for the 2011/12 season mainly featuring as a substitute. 

Between 2012 and 2014 Chris was player-coach at Salisbury City later playing for Weymouth, Frome, Bideford, Bodmin Town and Buckland Athletic.    

Chris started coaching in the Exeter City academy in 2014 and moved to a lead youth development phase role in 2018. He has an UEFA 'A' coaching licence and a FA Advanced Youth Award.
