Pilgrim test for Ladies

EXETER Ladies FC begin the build-up to their Women's Western League season tomorrow evening with a friendly against Ply- mouth Pilgrims at Wyvern Barracks (ko 6 pm).

The sides meet annually pre-season for the David Worth Memorial Trophy, shared after a 4-4 draw last year.

Exeter go into the game with their strongest possible line-up but the club is still on the look-out for more players as cover for their first team squad.

They are particularly keen to find cover for goalkeeper Brenda Frayne. Exeter train every Tuesday and Thursday evening at the Hamlin Lane playing fields and anyone interested in playing would be welcome to go along.

Match Report

Exeter made a good start to their build-up for the new Women's Western League season with a convincing victory over Plymouth Pilgrims. They won 4-0 with two goals from Annie Hesketh, one from Mandy Langham, and an own goal from a Jackie Tancock cross.
