Biographical Text

Martin was a product of the Plymouth Argyle youth scheme, earning his first full contract at the club for the start of the 2004-05 season.

However, he was quickly loaned to Exeter City, making his debut for them in a Conference fixture, a 2-1 win nat Northwich Victoria in August 2004.

He was never a regular in the City team though during his season-long stay, and his only goal for the club came in a 3-2 home win over Crawley Town. The highlight of his stay was playing against Manchester United in the FA Cup.

Returning to Plymouth Argyle, he was unable to make a first team breakthrough and he eventually signed for Truro City in January 2006, and played at Wembley for the Cornishmen in the FA Vase Final.

Marcus was playing for St Austell in 2016, he left the club in controversial circumstances after an on-the-pitch fracas with the referee following his dismissal in a match. He was banned from football for 27 months.
