Match 20
17/02/1980
Bath (Away)

BATH v EXETER
17th February 1980.

With Brenda Frayne making a very competent Western League debut in goal, behind a solid defence, Exeter were never troubled by a mediocre Bath side who never looked like scoring. However, Exeter's forwards failed to turn the situation to their advantage lacking both pace and finish in front of goal. The nearest Exeter came to scoring was in the second half when Penny Wilson just failed to connect with a Bridget Thomas Cross, and when Debbie Turner shot into the side netting from a very difficult angle.
