Biographical Text

An amateur throughout his stay at Exeter City, Kent had been playing for St Luke’s College prior to signing for the Grecians. He played for the reserves from 1910 to 1912, and scored against the Royal Marines in friendly in December 1910.

After making his first team debut for the Grecians in a Southern League fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion in April 1911, and scoring, Kent went on to play in the final five matches of the season Retaining his amateur status for 1911-12, Kent featured in eight more Southern League matches for Exeter, netting a further two goals against Brighton (again!) and Plymouth Argyle.
