Match 12
9th October 2011
Stoke Lane Athletic (A)

Stoke Lane Athletic 0
Exeter City Ladies 2

In tough conditions, City started the brighter when the two teams met in Almondsbury, Bristol on Sunday.

Applying pressure from the outset, City dominated possession for most of the first half. A cross from right winger Helen Kukor was driven home by striker Lola Garcia Sanchez to get City off the mark.

Stoke Lane grew into the game and gained more confidence as the match went on, trying to catch City on the break several times. The second half started scrappy affair with neither team stamping their authority. City changed formation to 4-4-2, bringing on Meg Griffiths enabling Emma Redwood to slot into the right wing position, with Kukor supporting Sanchez down the middle.

This impacted the game immediately, with Redwood finding Kukor in the box, turning her player and laying the ball off for Sanchez to slot home. The final score ended 2-0 to City, cementing their position at the top of the South West Women's Premier Division.
