Biographical Text

There are not that many players who have made their Exeter City debut in a local derby - i.e. against Plymouth Argyle at St James’ Park, but Caddy did just that after being signed from Plymouth side, Woodland Villa, when he lined up in the City side on 26th December 1911. City lost 3-1.

Caddy had to wait until 17th February 1912 for his next and final outing for the Grecians when he was in the team that lost 3-2 at West Ham United.

By the end of the season he had been released by Exeter and he joined the Royal Navy.
