Born 5 November 1998 Exeter.

Cullompton-based Dean played for Exeter City under-15s in 2003/04 and, after playing for the under-16s the following year, became a trainee between 2005 and 2007. In 2006/07 Dean scored ten goals in six FA Youth Cup games and also spent time on loan at Tiverton Town.

After signing as a professional in 2007, Dean surprisingly moved to Truro City for £10,000 early in 2008. Failing to make an impression for the Cornish club Dean joined Western League Willand Rovers in 2008/09.  

After two seasons at Willand, Dean moved on to Weymouth, Taunton Town and Tiverton Town before later alternating between Bristol Manor Farm and Willand Rovers.

As of 2022/23 Dean was back at Willand Rovers.
