Biographical Text

Noah Smerdon was a professional with Exeter City and sat on the bench for one first-team game without playing.

He was in the youth system at West Bromwich Albion until the age of sixteen and was in the sixth-form at a local school when he played for Gloucester City in 2017/18 and 2018/19. Around this time Noah also captained the England Schools Under-18 team.

Noah joined the Grecians in July 2019 shortly after completing his A levels. He was sponsored by the 1931 fund and spent two years at City before being released in 2021 after suffering a series of injuries. Noah was an unused substitute for the EFL Trophy tie at Swindon on 6 October 2020 and later spent time on loan at Chippenham Town.   

During 2021/22 Noah had short spells with Gloucester City and Weston-super-Mare before undergoing a hip operation in February 2022. He started 2022/23 at Tuffley Rovers and was later at Bishop’s Cleeve whilst continuing the Open University degree in politics, philosophy and economics he had started whilst at Exeter.

Stepping back up the footballing ladder, Noah was at Southern League Merthyr Town during 2023/24.
