Andy White

Andy was born on the 15th of April 1959, playing in the Youth & Reserve teams from 1976 to 1979
He signed non-contract professional forms in 1977,1978 and 1979.

Playing in the youth team under Tony long and  Bob Wilson, Andy scored on his debut and was asked to join the Reserve team scoring twice on his debut in a 7-3 win in September 1976.

At the end of that first season he scored 4 goals in a 5-1 win over local rivals Plymouth Argyle youth in front of new manager Bobby Saxton. 

Andy was invited to first team training signing professional forms in the process.

He played for Exeter City Reserves against, Bodmin, Wellington and Heavitree in the 1977/78 pre-season friendlies and continued to play in the Western League for the reserves throughout the season.
Andy scored a quick fire hatrick in a 6-3 win against Barnstaple at the North Devon Lesiure Centre in a 5-a-side tournament at the end of the 1977/78 season.


“Over the next 2 seasons I played mainly in the reserves and youth team under Chris Davey and Ken Ramsden.
also played in a number of first team friendly matches with my most memorable playing alongside Tony Kellow and scoring twice in a 5-4 win at Bodmin
I left to join Barnstaple Town on contract for the 79/80 season winning the western league in that season“
