Opened in 1892, Goodison Park is one of the world’s oldest purpose-built football grounds. The stadium presently has an all-seated capacity of 39,572, and has hosted more top-flight games than any other stadium in England. From the top of the Main Stand one gains a view of Anfield stadium, home to Everton’s Merseyside rivals Liverpool, which sits on the other side of Stanley Park.
