Lee Bolson

Lee Bolson played as a forward for the Grecians, in Devon and Exeter league in 1987/88.

He joined Exeter in early 1988, after his contract at AFC Bournemouth had ended. Lee made over 100 appearances for Bournemouth in the Wessex League finding the net on around 40 occasions.

"Lee Bolson, a 19-year-old just released at his own re- quest by Second Division Bournemouth, is on trial with City. A strong, well-built for- ward, he was a prolific goal- scorer for Bournemouth's reserve side, but asked to leave Dean Court because of the lack of first team oppor- tunities there. He was due to play in City's reserve match agains Newport on Tuesday along with local players Adrian Harris and Tony Stuart, but that game was postponed because of an inevitably waterlogged pitch. City are trying to arrange a game for next week so that they can look at all three players in a competitive situation."

He scored five goals in the Devon and Exeter League match against Bideford away from home. Exeter won 10-0 and the other goals came from a hatrick by Jamie Harris and two goals from Darren Rowbotham, returning from injury. He also played for Exeter in the South West Counties League against Bristol City in early 1988.

He played for Bournemouth FC, Bournemouth Poppies in the 1990's.
