Sean Goss

Born Wegburg, Germany 1 October 1995

Sean, who grew up in Crediton, joined the Exeter City youth system aged eight in 2004. 

In July 2012, he joined the Manchester United academy for an initial fee of £100,000 after impressing while on trial in a youth tournament in the Netherlands. He had not played a first team game at Exeter. 

Sean appeared in Manchester United pre-season friendlies in 2015 and on 21 November 2015 was on the bench for the Premier League game at Watford. 

Sean left Old Trafford in 2017 and, in a £500,000 deal, signed for Queens Park Rangers from where he went on loan to Glasgow Rangers in 2018 and St Johnstone in 2019. In August 2019 Sean left Loftus Road and signed for Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee before joining Motherwell on a two-year deal in August 2021.

Sean enjoyed regular first-team football at Motherwell in both 2021/22 and 2022/23 and, qualifying for Northern Ireland through the 'grandparent rule', was named in that country's squad for the March 2023 Euro 2024 qualifiers against San Marino and Finland. Not appearing in either game he was later released by Motherwell and signed for Greek team Asteras Tripolis in September 2023.
