2005
Jamie Hatch

Born Exeter 21 September 1989.

Jamie was still at school, and part of City's youth system in 2005/06, when Southampton stepped in to sign him.

The same April 2006 transfer tribunal settled the amounts due for both Mark Ellis's move to Bolton and Jamie's move to Southampton. In Jamie's case the terms were:

Exeter to receive £60,000 immediately, £50,000 after 10 appearances, £50,000 after 25 appearances, £50,000 after 50 appearances, £10,000 after first England Under-21 appearance, £100,000 after first full England appearance, plus a 15% sell-on premium.

In the event Jamie never played a first-team game for Southampton and left the club in 2009. After his release Jamie had a trial with Torquay United before signing for Tiverton Town. He then had a short spell with Weymouth in 2010/11 before playing two seasons in Queensland.

Jamie played pre-season games for Tiverton in 2014 but nothing came of his return to Ladysmead. Later he played for various Devon and Exeter League clubs.
