Dean was a trainee at Exeter City between 2013 and 2015.

After playing for Exmouth Town and Bideford, Dean was in the SW Peninsula League with Sidmouth Town in September 2019.

Dean was soon back at Exmouth and was part of the team that won promotion from the Western League in 2022. He remained with the club in the Southern League in 2022/23
