Bernard Warren played as a defender in Exeter City's first year in the FA Youth Cup in 1952/53. He played for the A team at City in the Exeter and District league in 1953/54, 1954/55 and 1955/56. Bernard normallly played as a full-back and usually on the left. 

In September 1959 he played for Chudleigh against Exeter in a Devon and Exeter league match.
