Stan, from Barnstaple, played in the club's South West Counties Youth League team, and also against Cirencester in the South West Counties Youth cup final.
Stan went on the play for Barnstaple Town, Willand Rovers and Ilfracombe. He studied sports studies at the University of the West of England and later lived and worked in the Exeter area.
