Chris Ibbeson was a youth player at Exeter City in 2007/08.

After leaving Exeter City's Academy, Chris played for Ottery St Mary and in 2011/12 Chris was playing with Witheridge, after Witheridge he played for Barnstaple .

In August 2019 he signed for Tooting Bec, a fireman he was transferred to the London Fire Brigade in February 2019 having featured for Barnstaple for several seasons before moving to the capital. He returned to Barnstaple in 2020.

Chris, is also a sports therapist and was chosen to go with England at the Gothia Youth World Cup in Sweden in 2016.
