Tim O'Connor, born in Neath in 1967, was a former Cardiff City apprentice, who in 1986,  at 19 was a free agent, and was on trial for the Grecians.

He was at Cardiff in 1984/85, having previously been with Afon Lido. He played 2 games for Cardiff in their 1985/86 relegation team. 

He played for Afon Lido again from 1986, until 1995,  and was their leading goalscorer in 1992/93 with 26 goals.
