Bert Brown made his debut for City against Aldershot in the Football League Cup in 1962.
He signed for Palace from St.Lukes College in August 1956 and played three times for Palace first team in September 1957, all at left half.
In July 1959 he signed for Queens Park Rangers but made no appearances for the first team and then joined Bath City in the 1960 close season and scored twice in 34 games for them.
He signed for City in time for the 1962/63 season but only made one first team apperance, he had played with Cyril Spiers at Palace.
