Dick Hegarty was an amateur Centre-forward from Wonford who made a scoring debut on the 1st of January 1949 against Gloucester City in a Southern League fixture at home.
He was playing for the reserves in 1949/50.

He played and scored against Exeter for Bideford in the Devon Bowl semi-final on the 6/3/1956.
