John McGrath

John McGrath, was a left sided midfielder, who had been released by Kidderminster and was involved in Friendlies against Birmingham,Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, in the Summer of 2005 for Exeter City.
It was said "he impressed" against  Forest, by hitting the post and setting up the City goal.

Born in County Limerick, in March 1980 John played youth football locally for Templeglantine and Corbally, before joining Belvedere in 1996. 
In 1999 he signed for Aston Villa, playing twice for them and also 22 times for Dagenham whilst on loan.
He left Villa in 2003 signing for Doncaster Rovers, where he stayed for two seasons which included a loan spell at Shrewsbury. In 2005 he joined Kidderminster, playing 19 games for them. He then had trials at York, Exeter, Darlington and Scunthorpe before signing for Limerick in August 2005. In Janusry 2006 he joined Weymouth in the Conference, leaving them at the end of the season toplay for Tamworth.

In 2007 he was picked up by Burton Albion where he went on to play 215 games, scoring 14 times.

In 2013, he played for York on loan, before joining Alfreton Town and later Mickleover Sports in 2015, where he became player manager in 2016.
