Jamie Todd

Jamie, the younger brother of Chris Todd played one match for Exeter City in the Football League Youth Alliance on the 4/12/04 against Newport County.

In 2009 Jamie Todd, 20, the youngest member of the Team Calzaghe stable, made his first professional appearance as a Boxer in the Principality on Saturday evening at the Rhydycar Leisure Centre in Merthyr on the first Calzaghe Promotions bill.

Having made his debut at the turn of the year in a controversial draw (against a Bristol fighter, in Bristol), Jamie was looking for a first victory in the pro ranks against journeyman Jason Nesbitt.

However, despite the pressure of fighting out of the Calzaghe stable, despite his relatively tender years, there is little chance of fear becoming a factor for the young puncher who knows only too well that life can be tough.

At the time Jamie said the following in the South West Argus

My brother is my inspiration, he will be coming down to watch me and that’s fantastic, his support means the world to me and I am so proud of him, how amazingly he’s coped since the diagnosis,” Todd said.
