Albert Aspey played for Exeter City in the Plymouth and District League before the club turned professional in 1908.

A member of the Royal Navy attached to HMS Victorious, he made a goalscoring debut at St Michael’s (Plymouth) on 26 January 1907 and played a total of nine first team games that season followed by four at the start of the next season.
