CHRISTMAS AT BRIGHTON
Exeter City in a "Mudbath"

Wednesday, December 25th.

At the Brighton ground, Goldstone Road, a regular "mudlark" resulted in a single goal victory for the Seasiders. Rain fell throughout the game, which was dominated by the home side. They obtained their goal very quickly, just two minutes from the kick-off, Webb putting the finishing touch to a dazzling piece of combination between himself and Goodwin. In the second half Brighton were awarded a penalty, but Pym saved the kick. Leeming followed up and netted, but was ruled offside.
