112TH BATTERY v EXETER CITY.
Saturday, October 1st.
Exeter City lost their unbeaten record this afternoon when they were beaten by three goals to nil at the Barracks by the 112th Battery, R.F.A. The opening of the game was somewhat sensational, for Ritchie scored for the soldiers in the first minute with a "hot" shot that Peters had no chance with Reid played clever football for the City, and with just a little luck would have scored on more than one occasion. The soldiers scored again, rushing the ball through the posts in a concerted charge, and after Reid had missed a penalty in the second half Pullit netted again for the Artillery.
