Match 31
8th April 1904
East Devon League
Friernhay (h)
EAST DEVON SENIOR LEAGUE.
EXETER CITY v FRIERNHAY.
It was with "hopes abundant" that Exeter City's supporters made their way to St James's Park this afternoon, April 8th, for the form of the Grecians has been undeniably "off" of late, and it was thought that there might be every prospect of the team re turning to its known form, with Sellick, Davidson, Andrews and Reid back in the fold. There were thirteen hundred spectators present at the kick off, Sergt-Maj. Adams having charge of the game. Davidson opened the scoring in ten minutes with a rather weak shot which Antcliff allowed to go through his legs. Exeter eventually won by six goals to nil, the remainder of the scoring being done by Reid 2, Thomas 2, and Andrews (penalty).
