EXMOUTH UNITED v EXETER CITY

Friendly match at Exmouth,
April 15th.

The only match of any interest in Exmouth this afternoon was that between the United and Exeter City. When the Exmothians visited Exeter a few weeks ago, they were beaten by four goals to one. Nevertheless, considerable interest was taken in today's game and there was a large company present, including many followers of the Association code from the "Ever Faithful."

In the first half the City played up the slope, but they had the wind in their favour. Sellick scored the first goal and Thomas the second. A third was put through, the ball going into the goal off Carlile. Wilmot scored for Exmouth. Sellick got a fourth goal for Exeter after the interval, the eventual score being 4 to 1 in favour of the Exonians.
