This match was played at St. James's Park. Exeter and ended in a win for the City by two goals to nil. The homesters started play, and soon commenced to attack, Thomas and Reid broke away, and, after a fine bout of passing, reached the visitors' goal, and the former netted the ball. The City was later awarded a penalty. kick, and Reid succeeded in adding another point. Play throughout the second half was of an even character, and no more scoring resulted. Morgan was conspicuous for several useful bits of work.
