East Devon League
City Reserves v Dawlish
30th December 1905

Exeter City Reserves played Dawlish at St James's Park, in an East Devon League match. West opened Exeter's account from a nicely placed corner by Fenwick, but when Kelly miskicked to a Dawlish player Fruher headed past Robinson to bring the scores level.

The City took the lead ten minutes from the restart, a centre by Henry being headed into the net by Reed. Twenty minutes from time the referee stopped the game on account of it being too dark to see across the field, and at that time the score was Exeter City Reserves 2 Dawlish 1.
It may be mentioned, however, that the game was somewhat late in starting, owing to the tardy arrival of the Dawlish tean. It will not count as a competition game on account of its abrupt ending.
