Plymouth & District League
Tavistock (a)

East Devon League
St Luke’s College (h)

TAVISTOCK SUSPENDED:
EXETER'S FIXTURE CANCELLED.

Saturday, November 24th.

Late last night Mr S.H.Thomas, Secretary of the Exeter City Club, received a telegram to the effect that Tavistock has been suspended by the Devon County Association at a meeting held in Plymouth, and that therefore today's Plymouth League fixture at Tavistock, v Exeter City, was cancelled.

Exeter City Reserves v St Luke's College

At St James's Park this afternoon the City Reserves played St Luke's College in the East Devon League, and the First City team being without a fixture, additional interest was lent to this encounter. The College had a full team out, including Lintott and Leat, while on the City side Fenwick, Turner, Russell, and Morgan, the previous season's skipper, were included. A drizzling rain fell throughout the match, which was evenly contested. St Luke's won by a goal to nil, but this point was very lucky, and unless the rain had sodden the ball and made it slippery, Hyde, who made some very good saves, would never have let it slip through his hands on that one occasion, as he did.
