2nd Devons beat Exeter City by one goal (Gilbert) to none, at St James's Park, in a Plymouth League match.

City: Chapman; Coates, W.Wells; Warner, Aspey, Bastin; Sellick, Thomas, Massey, Reid, Russell.

Devons: Dyer; McQuade, Grey; Davidson, Bird, Wright; McLeod, Gilbert, Burgoyne, Loughman, Reynolds.

Davidson, of the Devons, is Alec Davidson, the former Exeter City captain.

Exeter City v 15th Brigade 
Wednesday April 3rd

City played the 15th Brigade in a friendly at the County Ground. This turned out to be one of the fastest and most exciting games ever seen in the city, the Brigade, who led by four clear goals at the interval, eventually winning by 6 to 3.

Exeter City team:- Hyde; Fenwick, W.Wells; Norrington, Warner, E. Wells; Sellick, Thomas, Massey, Clements, Singlehurst.
