Match 27
Plymouth. & District League
22nd February 1908
St Michaels (h)

EXETER CITY V. ST MICHAEL'S
Saturday, February 22nd,
at St James's Park.

St Michael's, who are under new club management, have done very poorly this season, and before today's game had won only two of the fifteen played.

City team :- W. Wells; Fenwick, E.Wells; Le theren, Mudd, Oliver; Sellick, Eveleigh, Massey, Singlehurst, Drew.

Today's match was started before a poor gate in a perfect gale of wind and rain. Nothing was scored in the first half. After a quarter of an hour of the second half Eveleigh got away finely all on his own. The goalkeeper came out to intercept him, but Eveleigh dodged past his last opponent and scored a splendid goal. Towards the finish St Michael's enjoyed a greater share of the play but were rarely dangerous.

Result: Exeter City 1 St Michael's 0.
