Match 32
28th March 1908
Plymouth & District League
2nd Devon’s (h)
EXETER CITY v. 2ND DEVONS
Saturday, March 28th,
at St James's Park.
Exeter City beat the Devon Regiment by 2 goals to 1, and though not playing so well as they did against the Marines were clever enough to succeed with scientific football against the rushing tactics of R.M.L.I. Mudd and Badcock were the outstanding successes, while Davidson, the old City stalward, was the best of the soldiers. Badcock and Singlehurst scored for Exeter, whose team was:
W.Wells; Fenwick and E. Wells; Letheren, Mudd, and Banks; Sellick, Eveleigh, Massey, Singlehurst, and Badcock.
