Exeter City v Royal Marines

Exeter City beat a Royal Marines team at St. James's Park by four goals to one.

Exeter City had to withstand several frights before defeating a Royal Marine side by 4 goals to 1 at St. James's Park.

It was against the run of play when Walker opened Exeter's account, and the City were fortunate to retain the lead until just after half-time, when Freeman equalised. From then onwards the Marines were outplayed, and Exeter's inside forwards advanced almost at will. Mitcheson (2) and Ebdon completed the City's tally. The game was interesting and attracted about 2.000 spectators.
