Maidstone moved through into the area south semi-final of the Leyland Daf Cup by beating Exeter City 2-0.
Maidstone had the best possible start when Steve Butler headed his 19th goal of the season inside 90 seconds after Gary Cooper's corner was flicked on by Les Berry.
Exeter hit back and pressurised the Maidstone defence for long spells but Mark Beeney made vital saves and Maidstone were always dangerous on the break and clinched victory with another goal by Mark Gall.
