After a short spell with Ayr United (6 appearances), Robertson spent the 1993-94 season at East Stirling (18 appearances, 1 goal), and then went into Scottish junior football with Pollok between 1994 and 1996. However, he did get the chance to play one more season at Scottish league level, by then aged 37, with Albion Rovers in 1996-97, but only played the one game.
