BAD LUCK NOT NORWICH THAT BEAT CITY.

Attendance 12,073,
Much changed Exeter City, without a goal in their first four matches were desperately unlucky to concede both points to Norwich City. The home side scored a surprise winner in the gathering gloom ten seconds from time, Stenner's corner kick was headed past Hunter by McNeil, who rose high above the City defence. Although it was a splendid goal, it was one that Norwich scarcely deserved.
Goal shy Exeter missed their big chance in the first half, smart wing raids with Buckle back at his best, split the tall home defence, but City's shooting was woefully poor, Twice Phoenix failed badly, the energetic Currie and Burke were quick to shoot but they did not trouble goalkeeper Oxford, Norwich were little better, they attacked furiously after half time only for Hunter, the best man on the field to save brilliantly from Hunt and Stenner,
On this display, neither side will trouble the promotion or re-election forecasters this season. When the City break their goal famine they may develop into a sound middle of the table side. In this match their no goal neurosis beat them more than the disjointed Norwich side,
