BATH CITY 3
EXETER CITY RESERVES 1
.

Exeter City Reserves included their new signing, Arthur Stenner, on the left wing. Stenner, who is 22 years old, was born at Yeovil, and after assisting the "Glovers" moved to Bristol City and then to Plymouth. He was at outside-left for Norwich in both their games against the City last September, but since failed to keep his place. Exeter have also signed another player from Pontypridd, Brian Jenkins, inside-left.

Bath City: Boore; Book, Hayward; Calland, Batchelor, Singfield; Skirton, Williams, Pickard, Kovandzich, Collindridge.

City Reserves:- Bell; Foley, Marsh; Packer, Madeley, Phoenix; Beer, Divers, Willis, Jenkins, Stenner.

Bath started so well that they were two goals to the good at the end of fifteen minutes, Kovandzich and Collindridge scoring. Exeter retaliated, and Jenkins, well supported by Stenner, put in such a fierce shot that the Bath goalkeeper had to juggle with it before he could clear. In the 24th minute Exeter's efforts were rewarded when Jenkins scored with a shot of great accuracy and power.

Exeter's two new players were prominent in good combination and strong shooting, but shortly before the end Skirton broke through and netted the third goal for Bath City.
