Ken Powell played for Exeter City in the late-1940s. He joined the club from Cardiff City and later played for Bristol Rovers.
Playing as an amateur for his home town club Chester, Ken signed professional for Cardiff City in September 1947 but didn't make a first-team breakthrough.
Signing for Exeter City in June 1948, having been recommended by former Grecian player George Wardle, Ken made his at Reading in March 1949 as he featured in 9 league matches (scoring one goal) before the end of the season. Starting the following season in the side, he was in-and-out of the team and did not feature beyond January as he added 13 league outings to his total..
Ken moved to Bristol Rovers in July 1951 but only played four league games before joining Wellington Town in Shropshire in 1952.
Ken died on 17 January 2005.
