It was a tale of grit and determination that hoisted City from being 3-0 down to 3-2 at the final whistle and came close to being a tale of another City draw. In the first half the speed of the Norwich forwards and their intelligent use of the ball had given City's defence its clunsiest, most clueless look for weeks,
A fumble by Hunter allowed Gavin to put Norwich ahead in the fifth minute, Coxon flashed in an oblique drive in the tenth minute and Gavin hammered a 43rd minute penalty to sink City to the depths, In answer to the Norwich workmanlike usefullness City had hardly a thing to offer, When the second half started City rolled up their sleeves and into battle went a completely changed team, Calland scored a 59th minute penalty when his centre had been handled by Ashman, Ten minutes later Calland burst in from the right to crack in a shot which went in off Ashman and keeper NethercottNorwich one minute strolling to victory, panicking the next while City tried to get the equalising goal. There's no denying that this is a City team which does not intend to let any side pick up two easy points,
