Five minutes into the second half Rowley completed his hat trick pouncing on a bad clearance fro Thompson, it was all over for City. This was not a good Exeter performance. They tried hard but the attac lacked punch and accuracy. The defence played hard but not as well as usual and City generally could no pull out their top form that would have beaten Shrewsbury.
