PLAYED AT BOROUGH PARK WORKINGTON ON
SATURDAY APRIL 23RD.

2 (Morrison, Jones own goal)
EXETER CITY

Exeter City took the lead in the 29th minute of their match with Workington but the home team equalised just before half-time. A few minutes from the end it looked like being a draw, but Jones then made a blunder which cost Exeter the game.
Workington: Newlands; Wilson, Brown; Burkinshaw, Tennant, Keen; Hinchcliffe, Morrison, Harburn, McGarry, Kirkup.
Exeter City: Jones; Foley, MacDonald; Mitchell, Harvey, Thompson; Welsh, Rees, Bennett, Wilkinson, Stiffle.
There was a sensation early in the game when Thompson hammered in a shot from 25 yards which flew past Newlands and appeared to go into the net and rebound out off the iron stanchion at the back. Exeter appealed loud and long for a goal but the referee, after consulting a linesman, waved play on.

City Reserves v Kidderminster
With Calland, Micklewright, and Dale in their forward line the City Reserves should have done better than they did in their Southern League match against Kidderminster at St James's Park, but the only goal was scored by Shuck for the Harriers 20 minutes from time.
