The wind-up of the football season took place on Thursday evening at Home Park, Plymouth, where the Argyle defeated a combined Exeter City and Torquay United X1 by four goals to two before a crowd of 5,269, to secure possession of the Devon Professional Cup.

There were six Exeter players, Jones, MacDonald, Mitchell, Rees, Dale, and Thompson in the Combined XI, and the star of the match was Gordon Dale, but it was the Torquay men, T. Northcott and Bond, who got the goals. The scorers for Plymouth were Kirby, Jackson, Wright, and Anderson.
