LAST 10 MINUTES GAVE ARGYLE 'PRO.' CUP
SCORING three goals in the last ten minutes, Plymouth Argyle beat a combined Exeter City-Torquay side 4-2 in their Devor Professional Cup match at Home Park last night. Exeter supplied six of the team. goalkeeper Alan Jones coming in at the last minute. and it was Jones who pulled off a magnificent save in the last few minutes to stop Argyle scoring again. The overall star of the combined team was a City man-left-winger Gordon Dale-but it was the Torquay men who got the goals. Northcott put the combined side ahead in the 14th minute and Bond got the second midway through the second half. The Argyle scorers were Kirby, Jackson, Wright, and Anderson.
