The Fourth Division leaders, Aldershot, unbeaten at home so far this season, had to be content with one point from their encounter with Exeter City. After a goalless first half Aldershot went ahead soon after the resumption, but in the 74th minute Jenkins equalised. Exeter today had the ability, the skill, and the fight which could have enabled them to have brought off one of the surprises of the day at Aldershot. But throughout they persisted in trying to work the ball past the tightly-knit home defence with a series of short passes which in the second half brought the equalising goal from Jenkins, but very little else. Aldershot, on the other hand, realised that the conditions of the ground demanded the long pass to the relatively dry wings, their flankers, Taylor and Howfield, being as a result constantly in the game and constantly dangerous. It was nevertheless a most creditable performance by Exeter, and especially by their defence, in which Hughes and Harvey stood out.
- Exeter and District League - The City Reserves beat Lympstone at St James's Park 6 goals to 0.
