SATURDAY 7th APRIL 1962.

BRADFORD LATE SPURT SINKS CITY.

Exeter City will play worse many a timeyet fare better than in the process of a 5-1 defeat at Bradford which was a long way from doing them justiceThe score indeed was a fantastic turn of events after the team fighting back from a first minute goal with commendable spirit, they were every bit as good, if not better than Bradford for at least half the game. If there had been strong, finishing in attack in which Rees and Jenkins formed the cleverest wing pair on either side, the Grecians would have been more than equalised which Brown scored seven minutes ter the intervalWhen that happened, it was anybodies game and a draw looked to be the worse that could or would have happened to City, It was all the more surprising that Bradford, for whom everything came off, should have added four goals in the last 35 minutes, From City's standpoint, it can be said that if the team continues to perform all remaining matches with the fervour it produced here, there should not be the slightest danger of applying for re-election.
