Match 52
April 20th 1962.
Millwall (a)

MILLWALL 2 (Burridge, Terry)
EXETER CITY 0

FRIDAY 20th APRIL 1962.

DEFEAT BUT CITY SHARE BIG GATE.

GOOD FRIDAY.

City lost the first of three vital Easter games at Millwall. They played well in the first and held the top of the table London side to 0-0 at half time, but they cracked in the second half, a shaky defence to concede a 55th minute goal from Burridge and a 69th minute header from Terry, with the forward line were just not good enough to hit back,

Mitchell was City's steadiest defender, Hudson had his name taken after an incident with McQuade.
City will get something out of this game, for Millwall had their biggest crowd of the season City's share of the receipts will be well over the £100 minimum guarantee that they have received for most away trips this season.
