Exeter City again showed that they are a much improved team when they gained a well-deserved victory over Bradford, runners up in the League to Crystal Palace before today's game and strongly fancied for promotion to the Third Division. The City looked the more dangerous side from the start and led at half-time by two clear goals. Alvan Williams, playing against his old club, captained the City team. Jenkins, Carter, and Dale were Exeter's outstanding forwards and Jones was an excellent goalkeeper. But apart from one spell in the second half when they let Bradford get a grip of the game, the whole team played good and attractive football.
- Exeter City Reserves in the Western League were beaten by two goals to one by Bridgwater Town at Bridgwater. Wilkinson replied for the Reserves after Cameron and Tonkin had scored for Bridgwater.
